The Solution
### The Challenge
The existing press release platform was originally built on Ruby on Rails and had gradually become heavily dependent on the original developer for even minor updates. Over time, simple operational changes such as modifying workflows, updating content structure, managing pricing, or adjusting publishing rules required direct technical intervention. This created consistent delays in day-to-day operations, increased maintenance cost, and limited the business owner’s ability to scale or iterate on the platform independently.
### The Solution
I developed a Laravel-based prototype designed to remove developer dependency and give full operational control back to the platform owner. The focus was to simplify the entire press release lifecycle while keeping the system structured, scalable, and easy to manage.
The platform was rebuilt around a clear 5-step submission workflow:
**Step 1: Account Setup & Plan Selection**
Users create an account and select a subscription plan based on their requirements...
**Step 2: Press Release Content Creation**
Users enter the core press release details...
**Step 3: Media Upload & Attachments**
Users upload thumbnails and media files...
**Step 4: Targeting & Customization**
Users define categories, industries, countries...
**Step 5: Secure Payment & Submission**
Users complete checkout via Stripe integration...
On the backend, a centralized admin panel was built to manage users, roles, and system configurations...
